Presley Jean Shears 3 Month Old......

This is our precious little girl who is growing up so fast. Presley is an absolute delight and you know she is a Shears' as she is trying to talk already. When she smiles it melts your heart, the dimples come out, she scrunches up her face and giggles. Noah and Monica said that today she slept in until 11:00 am, another clue she is Noah and Monica's little girl as on weekends they love to sleep in. She did get up at 7am, ate and went right back to sleep. It won't be long before she rolls over, she really tries but just hasn't fully figured out the rolling of the hip. She has the shoulder down and swings the foot but the hip is stopping her for the next day or two. She meets with the cardiologist tomorrow so we are keeping our fingers crossed that all has healed as it is supposed to and no surgery will be required. Presley is loved by all who see her and is so fascinated with Swoop as he is with her.

Happy New Year!

Where did 2008 go? So many exciting and sad things happened in our family as I am sure it did to every ones. Many major events happened, Lon and I celebrated 33 years of marriage and we ask ourselves where did all the time go? We became grandparents to a beautiful little girl, Presley Jean and we just can't get enough of her and her contagious smile.

As with every New Year resolutions are made and forgotten. In 2009 we will again make our resolutions and they will focus on family and staying in touch and reminding them daily how much we love and appreciate them. We will continue to put into practice those things we have learned from Dave Ramsey to get financially sound in our money matters, paying close attention to where we spend our money and asking ourselves is it a want or a need. We will once again strive to get control of our health and make exercise a daily part of our lives and eat healthier. Remembering daily to thank God, who created this wonderful world for us all to enjoy, the wisdom we were given with the establishment of the family unit and keeping our eyes focused on giving to those less fortunate. Very basic but we feel that this is what the Lord had in store for us; to be grateful for what we were given and share our knowledge and wisdom with others as we preserve what we were given and do our utmost to make it a better place for those that follow. Honesty in all our dealings is what it seems many in this country or businesses have lost site of and greed has taken over. Our hope and prayer is that each of us will do our part and remember to be honest in all our dealings with others and to reach out to those in need. God bless you all and may each of us enjoy a wonderful New Year!
